Oxford University appointed GMJ to provide planning services and views for Herzog & de Meuron’s Blavatnik School of Government proposal that is located within the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter masterplanned by Rafael Viñoly.
GMJ’s role included researching and advising on Oxford City Council’s strategic views and carrying out a Visibility Analysis that covered the historic centre of Oxford.
Long distance and local, wire line and rendered views were produced. In addition GMJ produced an animated approach film and a fully surveyed, verifiable 360 degree view looking at the proposal from across Walton Street.
The planning consultants were Montagu Evans.
