Hong Kong developer Anquila Corporation last night won consent to reclad and convert this tower overlooking Victoria Street to 65 flats, offices and retail. A further six storey block will include offices and retail on Caxton Street, and another four storey block on Buckingham Gate will also feature retail and offices.
A policy compliant affordable housing payment of £3.6m was welcomed by members. Cllr Davis called the scheme, designed by Fletcher Priest ‘superb’. Public realm improvements and a new restaurant to were also welcomed.
