Elephant and Castle shopping centre redevopment wins planning approval

The Delancey redevelopment of Elephant and Castle designed by architects Allies and Morrison has been granted planning approval.

Plans for the site include an enlarged quantity of new retail space, new office space, a new campus for the London College of Communications across the road, a new entrance for the Elephant & Castle Underground station and 979 new homes.

GMJ produced were engaged to provide a number of services including; a 3D build envelope for the site created using kinetic view points of LVMF 23A from the Serpentine bridge in Hyde Park; 3D view analysis from initial scheme options using GMJ CityModel of central London; all wireline and rendered views for planning including 360 degree panoramic views, and the design and layout of the TVIA chapter of the Environmental Impact Assessment Study.
